Neuschwanstein Castle: This tour includes an approximately 30-minute uphill walk. Guests who prefer not to walk uphill may choose an optional horse-drawn carriage, which covers most—but not all—of the ascent. Please note that the carriage option is subject to weather conditions and daily availability.

Your day begins at the designated meeting point at Stachus (Karlsplatz) in central Munich. After check-in and boarding the comfortable coach, we set off on a scenic drive toward the Bavarian Alps—leaving the city behind and heading straight into fairytale country.

Our first major stop is Linderhof Palace, the smallest yet most intimate of King Ludwig II’s castles. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to join a guided interior tour in English, exploring the lavish rooms that reflect Ludwig’s fascination with French royal splendor.

After the palace visit, enjoy time to stroll through the beautifully landscaped gardens, admire the fountains and terraces, and browse for souvenirs. The peaceful Alpine setting makes this a perfect introduction to Ludwig’s world.

We continue through the picturesque village of Oberammergau, famous for its Passion Play tradition and beautifully painted houses. You may choose to join a guided interior tour of the castle (admission optional and paid separately) and visit the famous Marienbrücke (Mary’s Bridge) for breathtaking panoramic views and unforgettable photo opportunities of the castle and surrounding landscape.

Return to Munich

After a day filled with royal architecture, Alpine scenery, and Bavarian charm, we begin the return journey to Munich, arriving back in the early evening.
