Lake Entry

As part of the Berchtesgaden National Park, Lake Obersee is accessible year-round. However, the main access via Lake Königssee boat services operates seasonally. The boat service usually runs from April to late October, depending on weather conditions. In winter, access is significantly more challenging due to snow and ice.

Access to Lake Obersee itself is free, but visitors must purchase a ticket for the boat ride across Lake Königssee. Ticket prices for the boat service (as of the latest update) are:

• Round trip Schönau – Salet: Adults: approx. €20-€25, Children (6-17 years): approx. €10-€12
